How to Transfer Disbursements in Matters.Cloud
Introduction
Transferring disbursements between matters in Matters.Cloud allows you to ensure that costs are correctly allocated. This guide outlines the prerequisites and step-by-step process for transferring disbursements.
Pre-requisites
A user must have the Transfer expenses permission allocated to their role. For further information, please refer to the following article: Understanding Role-Based Permissions and How to Manage Them in Matters.Cloud
Note: Only administrators can enable this permission. If you are not an admin, please contact your internal administrator to request access.
How to Transfer Disbursements Between Matters
- Open the relevant Matter.
- Navigate to the Disbursements tab.
- Select the disbursement entry or entries you wish to transfer.
- Click Transfer.
- Select the Matter you want to transfer the disbursement(s) to.
- Click Submit to complete the transfer.
Note: Only disbursements in a WIP / unbilled state can be transferred. Disbursements linked to a draft invoice cannot be transferred unless they are first excluded from the draft invoice.
