Dropbox: Setting Up Your Integration

Overview



The Matters.Cloud Dropbox integration is available to all Dropbox subscribers and allows users to:

  • Create a Folder in Dropbox for every Matter created in Matters.Cloud.
  • Create a Folder in Dropbox for every Opportunity created in Matters.Cloud.
  • Access Documents / Files saved directly to Dropbox within Matters.Cloud.
  • Define a set of Default Folders to be created within Dropbox for each Matter or Opportunity created within Matters.Cloud.



Connecting Matters.Cloud with Dropbox

Step 1: Access The Integrations Portal


The integrations portal allows you to configure integrations with common cloud-based platforms.

To access the portal simply select Setup > Integrations and locate the following tile:




Step 2: Connect To Dropbox

Click the Connect button on the Dropbox tile and the following form will be displayed:


Enter your Email and Password for Dropbox and click the Sign in button.


The system will then return you to the Integrations Portal and display Connected on the Dropbox tile as follows:



Step 3: Export Existing Matters

To get started using Dropbox it is recommended you export your existing Matters by clicking the Export matters button on the Dropbox tile.

This will do the following:

  • Create a new Client folder within Dropbox for every Client that has associated Matters within Matters.Cloud.

  • Create a new Matter folder within Dropbox for every Matter within Matters.Cloud.

Step 4: Export Existing Opportunities

To get started using Dropbox it is recommended you export your existing Opportunities by clicking the Export opportunities button on the Dropbox tile.

This will do the following:

  • Create a new Contact (Organization or Contact) folder within Dropbox for every Contact that has associated Opportunities within Matters.Cloud.

  • Create a new Opportunity folder within Dropbox for every Opportunity within Matters.Cloud.
